MESSAGE FROM PETER MARSHALL

It is an honour to be the inaugural chair of the Equal Access for Autism Board.

It is with some pride I have been able to watch the Board pursue with vigour
and dedication many important and worthy initiatives that will make – and have already made – a difference for children, and families with children, with autism.

Our committed Board members volunteer an enormous amount of their personal time to the Foundation in pursuit of our objectives.

As Chair I would like to thank our Board members, as well as members of our Sub-Committees, who have enabled us to achieve our recent milestones.

Autism is a complex neurodevelopmental condition that may present challenges in communication, social interaction, and behaviour. However, autism also brings unique strengths and abilities - and these must be celebrated.

It is crucial to always promote awareness, understanding, and acceptance of individuals with autism in all aspects of society. This is one of our key objectives of our foundation

Let us celebrate the strengths and abilities of individuals with autism, advocate for equal access to opportunities and services – for both those with autism and their families, and let us work together to create a world where everyone is valued and included. That is the vision of Mick and Cheryl, the founding members of Equal Access for Autism.

The progress to date by the foundation has been profound and there is much more work to do.

Tonight, we come together in pursuit and support to further our objectives.

On behalf of the Equal Access for Autism Board, thank you for your attendance tonight, your ongoing support and friendship.
